Thallus off-white to pale fawn, thin, smooth, glossy. Ascomata numerous, scattered, black, open, semi-immersed, usually simple, rarely branched, straight, curved or sinuous, 1–3 mm long, 0.15–0.25 mm wide. Disc black, epruinose. Proper exciple medium brown to dark brown laterally, yellow-brown below. Hymenium 80–100 µm thick, not inspersed. Ascospores 8 per ascus, irregularly biseriate, elongate-ellipsoidal, pale brown, 4–6-locular, (16–) 18–22 × 6–8 µm. CHEMISTRY: No lichen compounds detected. |
